Quart Cake

Gluten Free - Dairy Free/Vegan/Vegetarian Options

Quite possibly the easiest gluten free cake I've ever come across, Quart cake is, quite literally, a quarter of a Pound Cake, and there are many variations of it, but here is the basic recipe:


- 1 Cup Orgran Self Raising Flour
- 3 Eggs or 3 Teaspoons of Orgran No-Egg Egg Replacer mixed with 90ml of water
- 50g of Butter or Dairy Free Margarine
-1 cup of Sugar
- 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Essence


- Preheat oven to 160
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl & pour the batter into a baking dish
- Bake for 45 minutes or until cooked all the way through

Tips & Suggestions
- You can easily add chocolate chips to create a more flavour filled cake. One interesting variation we found when we accidentally left the butter out, was that the chocolate chips sink to the bottom of the cake to create a chocolate base layer, and the cake becomes quite crunchy on top while staying moist inside.
